Mostra Poesia Cinética de Cinema Experimental na Cinemateca MAM Rio >

A pré-estreia da Mostra acontece no dia 20 de novembro 2023 às 19h na Cinemateca do MAM no Rio de Janeiro, e a sua estréia segue para a cidade de Paraty - RJ no dia 25 de novembro às 20h na Casa Escreva Garota na Festa Literária - Flip de 2023, com a exibição de videopoesias – curtas experimentais – poesias cinéticas nacionais e internacionais e homenagem ao cinema Yanomami de Morzaniel Iramari.

Partindo de uma provocação para ampliar a interlocução da poesia e do cinema >

Propomos uma mostra que prioriza a diversidade e a ideia da poesia cinética no cinema experimental. A imagem em movimento com o fio condutor das palavras realizada por autores, cineastas e artistas de diversas partes do Brasil, algumas participações internacionais e a presença do cinema Yanomami.

Homenagem ao Cinema Yanomami de Morzaniel Iramari >

O diretor Morzaniel Iramari apresenta seu premiado curta “Mãri hi – A árvore dos sonhos” que conta com a participação do grande líder e xamã Davi Kopenawa, apresentando o conhecimento dos Yanomami sobre os sonhos. 

O curta fez sua estreia internacional no Sheffield Doc Fest no Reino Unido e, no Brasil, o filme teve sua estreia no É TUDO VERDADE, onde recebeu o prêmio de Melhor Documentário de Curta-metragem na Competição Brasileira.

A obra integra a mais recente produção dos Yanomami, realizada por um grupo composto em 2018 pela Hutukara para se tornarem comunicadores e difundirem o trabalho da associação entre os Yanomami, para outros povos e para os não-indígenas, que assim poderão conhecer mais sobre o povo Yanomami e seus conhecimentos e ampliar a luta pelos direitos indígenas sob novos pontos de vista.

CURADORIA >

As curadoras da Mostra Poesia Cinética de Cinema Experimental 1ª edição são artistas realizadoras. Fer Canelas é poeta escritora nascida em Belo Horizonte e residente no Rio de Janeiro, com formação e especialização em literatura, autora dos livros "dpois se vão tb os ddos”, “cabeças de Camille”, entre outros e Marcia Poppe é cineasta e artista transdisciplinar nascida no Rio de Janeiro, diretora do longa "Ser feminino”, do curta “Resistir”, entre outros. Na mostra elas apresentam em parceria criativa e com o diretor de fotografia Eduardo Criva, a videopoesia “Ovos quebrando” com imagens inspiradas no icônico curta "At land" de Maya Deren recriadas para evocar memórias de infância e adolescência.

Kinetic Poetry Experimental Film Festival 2024 at Cinemateca MAM Rio >

The preview of the festival will take place on November 20, 2023 at 7pm at the Cinemateca do MAM in Rio de Janeiro, and its premiere will follow in the city of Paraty - RJ on November 25 at 8pm at the Casa Escreva Garota at the Flip Literary Festival in 2023, with the screening of videopoems - experimental shorts - national and international kinetic poetry and a tribute to Yanomami cinema by Morzaniel Iramari.

Starting from a provocation to broaden the interlocution of poetry and cinema >

We propose an exhibition that prioritizes diversity and the idea of kinetic poetry in experimental cinema. The moving image with the guiding thread of words made by authors, filmmakers and artists from different parts of Brazil, some international participations and the presence of Yanomami cinema.

Tribute to Yanomami Cinema by Morzaniel Iramari >

Director Morzaniel Iramari presents his award-winning short film “Mãri hi - The Dream Tree”, which features the great leader and shaman Davi Kopenawa, presenting the Yanomami's knowledge of dreams. 

The short had its international premiere at the Sheffield Doc Fest in the UK and, in Brazil, the film had its premiere at É TUDO VERDADE, where it won the award for Best Documentary Short Film in the Brazilian Competition.

The work is part of the most recent Yanomami production, made by a group formed in 2018 by Hutukara to become communicators and spread the work of the association among the Yanomami, to other peoples and to non-indigenous people, who will thus be able to learn more about the Yanomami people and their knowledge and expand the struggle for indigenous rights from new points of view.

CURATOR >

The curators of the Kinetic Poetry Experimental Film Festival 1st edition are artists and filmmakers. Fer Canelas is a poet-writer born in Belo Horizonte and living in Rio de Janeiro, with a degree and specialization in literature, author of the books “dpois se vão tb os ddos”, “cabeças de Camille”, among others and Marcia Poppe is a filmmaker and transdisciplinary artist born in Rio de Janeiro, director of the feature film “Ser feminino”, the short film “Resistir”, among others. In the exhibition they present, in creative partnership with photography director Eduardo Criva, the videopoetry "Breaking Eggs" with images inspired by Maya Deren's iconic short film “At land”, recreated to evoke memories of childhood and adolescence.
